What the IDTS-8020-LED on-metal LED RFID tag adds
A long aisle of steel racking has dozens of near-identical bin locations. Fixed to a beam or upright, the IDTS-8020-LED shows a picker or auditor which location the reader has found: the green LED in the centre of the board lights when the tag is read and can be seen from about 2 m.
An 80 mm bar made for metal
The tag is an anti-metal PCB design, so it goes directly onto racking, tool boards, cylinder cages and cabinet frames, and reads at approx. 6 m on metal. The 80 × 20 mm footprint suits a beam face or upright, and at 2.5 mm overall it adds little depth. A 4 mm hole at each end, 74 mm apart, takes a screw or rivet so the tag stays with its location.
Memory and range notes
The KX2005X-BL chip has a 96–240-bit EPC, a 96-bit TID and 1312 bits of user memory for a location code, zone or last-audit date. The 2 m figure is how far the LED can be seen, not the read distance.
