Buying guide

Fob, token or coin tag

Key fobs

The RKT keyfob is a 46 × 30 × 6 mm oval ABS fob with a 4 mm keyring hole, rated IP67, in six colours and three chip options: 125 kHz EM4100, 13.56 MHz MIFARE Classic 1K or UHF EPC Gen2. ₹20 + GST. The LF keyfob 53 × 37 mm is a 125 kHz fob of about 3 g, also IP67. ₹20 + GST.

Tokens

The LF RFID token is a 30 mm ABS disc with an EM4100 read-only or T5577 rewritable chip, IP67, for laundries, car washes, lockers and loyalty systems where cards and fobs get damaged. ₹25 + GST. The HF token tag is a small 13.56 MHz token for tool tracking and access. ₹25 + GST.

Coin tags

Coin tags are fixed to an item or embedded in a holder rather than carried on a keyring: the LF coin tag (25 mm, 1.2 mm thick, ₹22 + GST), the PVC coin tag in 25 or 30 mm with an HF or LF chip (₹25 + GST), the 50 mm MIFARE coin tag with a central mounting hole for guard-patrol points (₹70 + GST) and the 10 mm NFC coin sticker (₹28 + GST).

Match the chip to your reader

A fob only works with a reader on the same frequency and protocol, so check the reader first: most proximity access readers in India read 125 kHz EM4100; MIFARE readers, attendance terminals and NFC phones read 13.56 MHz; UHF readers read the EPC Gen2 version of the RKT at a distance.

NFC fobs and phone tags

For a fob that a phone can read, choose an NTAG chip: the NFC epoxy tag is a 30 mm printed epoxy disc with NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216 (₹45 + GST), the mobile NFC epoxy tag comes on a string for a phone or keychain in 30 or 35 mm (₹60 + GST), and the EV charging tap tag is a 13.56 MHz ISO 14443 key-ring tag that charge-point operators issue to drivers (₹120 + GST). All three are printed with your artwork and encoded with a link or ID.

Printing, numbering and encoding

  • Logo and colour: the RKT keyfob takes logo engraving, colour printing and sequential serial numbers; tokens come in white or custom colours; the PVC coin tag is printed with a logo and serial number.
  • Fixed or rewritable: EM4100 fobs carry a fixed ID that the access software enrols; T5577 tokens can be written with your own ID scheme.
  • MIFARE encoding: the 50 mm MIFARE coin tag offers UID lock, sector keys and printed numbering on request.
  • Samples: fobs, tokens and coin tags can be requested as samples to test on your reader before the bulk order.

Frequently asked questions

Which fob works with my existing reader?
Check the reader's frequency. Most proximity door readers read 125 kHz EM4100 fobs; MIFARE and attendance readers read 13.56 MHz MIFARE Classic; NFC phones read NTAG. The RKT keyfob is made in all three versions, including UHF, so the same fob shape fits whichever reader you run.
Can a fob be copied or rewritten?
EM4100 fobs and coin tags carry a fixed, read-only ID that the access software enrols. The T5577 token is rewritable, so it can be written with your own ID scheme. MIFARE items can be supplied with sector keys set and the UID locked on request.
Can you print our logo and numbers?
Yes. The RKT keyfob takes logo engraving, colour printing and sequential serial numbers; the PVC coin tag is printed with a logo and serial number; tokens are offered in custom colours. Send the artwork and numbering range with the enquiry.
What is the difference between a coin tag and a fob?
A fob has a keyring hole and is carried; a coin tag is a flat disc that is stuck to, screwed to or embedded in an item: the 25 mm LF coin is 1.2 mm thick for embedding, the 50 mm MIFARE coin has a mounting hole for patrol points, and the 10 mm NFC coin is a sticker.
What is the minimum order?
500 pcs per item. Chip type, colour and printing are confirmed in the quotation.
