Active RFID Readers and Personnel Tags for Evacuation Roll Call
When an alarm sounds, the question at the assembly point is who has reached safety and who has not. If each person carries an active RFID tag and readers cover the assembly areas, arrivals are logged as people walk in, and wardens work from a list of names still to be found instead of a paper roster.
This page lists the active readers, personnel cards and tags in our catalogue that make up a mustering setup, and links to IdentiumOne for the roll-call software. Mustering supports your emergency procedure; it does not replace fire detection or the alarm system.
How it works
- 1
Issue a tag to every person
Give each employee, contractor and visitor an active RFID card or tag registered to their name, and tag any equipment that should be counted too.
- 2
Cover the assembly points
Install active readers at each assembly area and at main exits, in positions decided by a survey of your site.
- 3
Start the roll call
When a drill or evacuation is declared, the software lists everyone expected on site and marks each person present once a reader at an assembly point hears their tag.
- 4
Search and record
Wardens use the list of people not yet seen to direct the search, and the roll call is saved as a record of the event.
Hardware you need
Assembly point readers
The F529 is a long-range 2.4 GHz base station with four directional antennas, suited to open assembly areas. How far it hears in practice depends on nearby structures and mounting position, so plan reader positions from a survey of your site.
- Active RFID Reader F529₹57,775 + GST
Exit and corridor readers
The F530 indoor reader works over a short range, about 5 m at its factory setting, so it suits exits, doors and corridors where you want to know that someone passed through.
- 2.4 GHz Indoor Active RFID Reader F530₹51,775 + GST
Personnel cards
The T505 is a battery-powered active card that staff and visitors carry as a badge. Readers pick it up at a distance, so nobody has to stop and tap a card on arrival.
- Active RFID Card T505₹977 + GST
Rugged and equipment tags
The AT507 rugged tag and the AT508 asset tag cover vehicles, portable equipment and other items you want accounted for alongside people.
- Rugged Active RFID Tag AT507₹877 + GST
- 2.4 GHz Active RFID Asset Tag AT508₹1,177 + GST
The software
The hardware only reports which tags each reader can hear; the IdentiumOne mustering software runs the roll call. It holds the roster of people expected on site, groups readers into assembly zones, gives wardens a live board of people present and people still missing, and lets the safety team export the result for drill records. Visit IdentiumOne to see it in a demo and to plan a site survey.

Which readers and tags make up a mustering setup?
Active RFID readers covering each assembly point, plus one active tag or card per person. The F529 suits open areas and the F530 suits doors and corridors. The exact count comes from a survey of your site.
Can I use UHF or HF ID cards for mustering instead?
HF cards have to be held close to a reader, and passive UHF cards are read near a gate or antenna, so people would need to file past one spot. Active 2.4 GHz cards transmit on their own and can be heard across a wider area, which fits an open assembly point.
Does this replace our fire alarm system?
No. Fire detection and the alarm decide when people leave the building. The mustering setup takes over at the assembly point to account for people, and it belongs inside your emergency procedure, not in place of any part of it.
Where do I get the mustering software?
Readers and tags are sold through this store. The roll-call software, site survey and set-up are arranged through IdentiumOne.
