How the RFID Delegate Tracking System works

Issue a credential
Print each delegate's name and number on a UHF card, or hand out a UHF wristband, and write the delegate ID to the chip on a desktop reader at registration.

Mark the read points
Stand a walk-through gate reader at the hall entrance and at each session room that needs its own attendance figure. The gate senses direction, so arrivals and departures are logged separately.

Cover the floor
Staff carry a handheld, or a Bluetooth reader paired with a phone, to log booth visits, check entry to VIP areas and look up a delegate on the spot.

Each read is sent to the event software, which builds attendance per session and visitor lists per exhibitor for organisers and sponsors.

Printed UHF cards in CR80 size carry name, photo and a QR code or barcode on one or both sides. Plain IDTS-IDC62 cards suit organisers who print badges in house. Both read at 1–5 m depending on the reader and antenna.

Wristband option
For multi-day expos and outdoor venues, the C03 silicone UHF wristband is IP68 rated with an adjustable snap fit and reads at 0.5–1.5 m on a standard UHF reader, so keep gate lanes narrow. The UTW01 PVC band has a tamper-evident clasp that shows if it has been taken off and passed to someone else.

Hall and session gates
The HLR200 gate reader covers a doorway with a read zone of up to 4 m, reads many badges at once and separates entries from exits using its built-in in/out sensors.

How an RFID event management system works
Each visitor carries an RFID credential, either a wristband, a card or a ticket with an RFID tag, linked to their record on the event server. From then on, entry, spending and movement are logged by readers instead of staff checking paper tickets and cash.
- Issue. An RFID tag or label is attached to the entry ticket, or a wristband is handed out, and linked to the ticket holder.
- Enter. Visitors pass access gates fitted with a reader antenna. The tag is read automatically, the server is updated and the visitor's location can be monitored.
- Spend. At the point of sale, cards or wristbands are loaded with money, admissions, food and beverage, package deals and group discounts, and each payment takes seconds.
