EV charging RFID tag for tap-to-charge access

The EV-1k is a 13.56 MHz HF RFID tag made for electric-vehicle charging. The driver holds it against the RFID reader on the charger, the charger reads the tag’s unique ID and checks it with the charging platform, and the session starts if that ID belongs to an active account. One tap replaces an app login or OTP at the charge point.

Check your charger before ordering

Chargers that offer RFID authorisation generally read 13.56 MHz HF tags, but the charger’s reader and your platform decide which chip types and ID formats are accepted. Confirm the reader specification with your charger supplier and try a sample tag on one charger before a full roll-out. On OCPP-based networks the charger usually passes the tag ID to the central system as the authorisation token, so the tag often needs no extra programming.

The face can carry your logo and artwork, so every driver receives a tag in your network’s branding. Other formats are in HF RFID and NFC tags, and HF RFID cards suit drivers who prefer a wallet card.
