Overview
What the PVC RFID coin tag is
This is a flat, round RFID tag sealed in PVC, made in 25 mm and 30 mm diameters at 3.5 mm thick, with custom diameters on request. It carries an HF/NFC (13.56 MHz) or LF (125 kHz) chip, not a UHF chip, so it is read at close range by a desktop or door reader, or by an NFC phone for the NTAG213 version. Choose it when items are identified one at a time rather than counted in bulk from metres away.
Choosing the chip
HF / NFC, 13.56 MHz
MIFARE Classic 1K for most HF access and attendance readers, NTAG213 for tapping with NFC phones, ICODE SLIX for ISO 15693 systems.
LF, 125 kHz
EM4100 or TK4100 read-only IDs for sites that already run 125 kHz proximity readers.

Coin tags sit inside jewellery display trays without spoiling the presentation, are sewn into garment pockets for linen tracking, are glued or screwed to tools and equipment, and replace cards as gym, spa or factory access tokens.
