Overview
A slim on-metal RFID bar tag for beams and frame edges
Plenty of metal assets have length to spare but almost no width: the face of a pallet-rack beam, the rail of a server cabinet, the edge of a machine guard or a panel door. The IDTS-9010 is shaped for those surfaces. Its PCB body is 90 mm long but only 10 mm wide and 3 mm thick, so it sits flat where a square or wide tag would overhang.
Fixing and read range
A 4 mm hole at each end, 84 mm apart, takes a screw or rivet, so the tag stays put through knocks, cleaning and daily handling. As an anti-metal design it is meant to go directly on steel, and it is listed at approximately 4 m in that position. That is a comfortable distance for a handheld sweep along a rack aisle or a walk-round of a machine shop.
10 mm or 20 mm bar?
If you have the width and want more distance, the IDTS-9020 uses the same 84 mm hole pitch on a 20 mm-wide bar and is listed at about 8 m on metal, so one drilling pattern serves both. Keep the 9010 for edges where 20 mm will not sit flat. Round discs and other bar sizes are under PCB and ceramic RFID tags.
