The IDTS-9010 is a passive UHF on-metal (anti-metal) RFID tag built on a PCB substrate and shaped as a long, narrow rectangular bar measuring 90 x 10 x 3 mm. A through-hole at each end takes a screw, so the tag bolts down permanently on the metal assets that dominate Indian warehouses, workshops and utility yards - rack beams, machine frames, panel doors, pipe clamps and equipment brackets - where a stick-on label would peel, fade or be scraped off. Because it is designed to work while mounted on metal, it delivers a read of approximately 4 m on metal instead of the dead reading you get from an ordinary label on a steel surface.

Applications
- Warehouse rack and location tagging - the 90 mm bar form suits the flat face of pallet-rack beams and uprights, giving each bay a fixed, screwed-down identity for put-away and cycle counting.
- Manufacturing machinery and jig identification - bolts onto machine frames, fixture plates, die racks and press guards for maintenance schedules and shop-floor traceability.
- Tool crib and heavy tool control - suited to larger tools, tool trolleys, die blocks and equipment cases that have enough flat metal to accept two screws 84 mm apart.
- IT asset audits - fits the narrow rails, frames and cabinet doors of server racks, UPS units and network enclosures for annual hardware verification.
- Utilities and electrical infrastructure - identification of switchgear cubicles, distribution panels, cable trays, valve bodies and pipe clamps during inspection rounds.
- Railways and rolling stock support equipment - depot fixtures, metal brackets, trolleys and maintenance stands that need a permanent, screw-fixed identifier.
- Gas cylinder cages, cradles and pharma equipment frames - cylinder handling frames, trolley racks and stainless equipment stands where the tag can be bolted to a flat metal member.
Why Choose This Tag
- Built to read while sitting on steel. This is an anti-metal design, so mounting it directly on a metal asset is the intended use, not a compromise - it returns approximately 4 m on metal.
- Screw-fixed, not stuck on. Two 4 mm through-holes at an 84 mm centre-to-centre pitch let you fasten the tag mechanically, which suits assets that get knocked about or handled daily.
- A narrow 10 mm bar only 3 mm thick. The slim profile and long, thin footprint fit onto rack beams, frame members and panel edges where a square on-metal tag simply will not sit flat.
- Rated from -20 C to +150 C. A wide operating temperature range covers cold rooms through to hot plant areas near motors, ovens and process equipment.
- Standards-based and serialisable. ISO18000-6C with 128-bit EPC and 96-bit TID memory means it works with standard UHF readers and supports unique, factory-locked identification for audit trails.
Read range is a typical figure, not a guarantee: actual performance varies with the reader and antenna used, transmit power, tag orientation, the mounting surface and the surrounding environment. We recommend a short on-site trial in your own application before bulk deployment. Available from India RFID Store under the IDentium / IDTS brand.
