IDTS-5020 UHF On-Metal RFID PCB Tag 50 x 20 x 4 mm, approx. 3.5 m on Metal, Two-Hole Mount

The IDTS-5020 is a passive UHF on-metal (anti-metal) RFID tag built on a rigid PCB body, measuring 50 x 20 x 4 mm in a rectangular bar form. It is designed to be read while fixed directly to metal, delivering a read distance of approx. 3.5 m on metal, and it carries two mounting holes of 3.2 mm diameter at 42 mm spacing for a fixed, bolt-through installation on racks, panels, tooling and plant equipment. With a wide -20 C to +150 C operating range and generous on-tag memory, it is a practical workhorse tag for Indian warehouses, tool cribs, utilities and manufacturing floors.

Applications

  • IT asset audits: tagging server racks, network switches, UPS cabinets and metal enclosures in data centres and corporate IT rooms, where the 50 x 20 mm bar fits neatly on a rack rail or chassis face.
  • Tool cribs and returnable tooling: identifying dies, jigs, fixtures and larger hand tools that are issued and returned across shifts in engineering and automotive plants.
  • Gas cylinder and pressure vessel tracking: fixed identification on industrial and medical cylinder collars and cradles for refill, test-due and custody records.
  • Electrical and utility infrastructure: distribution boards, panels, transformers and switchgear cabinets that need repeatable inspection and maintenance capture by discom and facility teams.
  • Warehouse racking and bin locations: permanent location identification on steel pallet racking, cages, trolleys and metal bins for putaway and cycle-count workflows.
  • Railway and rolling-stock equipment: tagging metal signalling cabinets, depot equipment and serviceable components where a bolt-down tag is preferred over an adhesive label.
  • Pharma and process manufacturing: stainless steel vessels, trolleys, change parts and machinery served by hot process areas within the tag's rated temperature range.

Why Choose This Tag

  • Built for metal, not merely tolerant of it. This is an anti-metal design intended for direct mounting on metal surfaces, with a read distance of approx. 3.5 m on metal - enough working reach for handheld audits down a rack aisle or a plant walkthrough.
  • Two-hole fixed mounting. Two 3.2 mm holes at 42 mm spacing allow a through-fixed installation on drilled or existing hardware points, suited to assets that live in yards, on vibrating machinery where teams prefer a mechanical fixing to an adhesive one.
  • Wide -20 C to +150 C operating range. Covers Indian cold-chain adjacencies at one end and hot process and engine-bay environments at the other, so one part number can cover several asset classes in the same facility.
  • Generous, well-partitioned memory. 496-bit EPC, 96-bit TID and 128-bit user memory give room for long serialisation schemes plus on-tag data such as maintenance or location codes, alongside the factory-programmed unique TID for authentication workflows.
  • Standards-based and reader-agnostic. ISO18000-6C compliance means the IDTS-5020 works with the standard fixed readers, handhelds and gate portals already deployed across Indian warehouses and plants - no proprietary reader lock-in.

Read range is an indicative figure, not a guaranteed maximum. Actual performance varies with the reader and its transmit power, antenna type and orientation, the mounting surface and surrounding metal, and the RF environment. We recommend a short on-site trial on your own assets before bulk deployment - our team can assist with sample testing.
