Overview

A screw-mount on-metal RFID tag with 4 m reach

The IDTS-3511 is a 35 × 11 mm UHF anti-metal tag on black PCB, 3.4 mm at its highest point. Its strength is range for its size: about 4 m when fixed to metal. A technician with a handheld can pick up tags on panels, racks or tool boards from the walkway instead of touching each item.

Fixing it to the asset

Two 3.2 mm through-holes, 29 mm apart, take M3 screws or rivets; 3.2 mm is the usual clearance size for M3. Small plated holes also sit at the corners. A screwed-down tag stays put on items that are handled, wiped down or moved between bays, where an adhesive label tends to lift at the edges. The 11 mm width fits narrow flanges, panel edges and machined faces on jigs and fixtures.

Choosing between the small bars

If the flat area on your asset is shorter than 35 mm, the IDTS-2510 (25 × 10 mm) is the smaller option, with about 3 m range. The IDTS-3511 runs a U8 chip on ISO 18000-6C with a 128-bit EPC and 96-bit TID, and is rated −20 °C to +150 °C. Compare other sizes in PCB and ceramic RFID tags.

Typical applications

  • Tool crib control
  • Electrical panels
  • Server racks
  • Jigs and fixtures
  • Valves and pipe brackets
  • Steel trolleys and cages

Frequently asked questions

How far does the IDTS-3511 read on metal?
Approximately 4 m when mounted on metal, depending on the reader, its power and antenna, tag orientation and the surface. That is usually enough for handheld audits along a rack row or tool store aisle.
What fixing hardware does it need?
It has two 3.2 mm through-holes, 29 mm apart, which suit M3 screws or rivets. Drill your assets to the 29 mm spacing and every tag will sit in the same position.
What temperature range is it rated for?
−20 °C to +150 °C operating, so it can go on cold-store equipment as well as warm machinery, motors and curing areas.
Does it work with Indian UHF readers?
Yes. It covers 860–960 MHz, which includes India’s licence-exempt 865–868 MHz band, and uses the standard ISO 18000-6C protocol, so mainstream UHF handheld and fixed readers will read it.
Can I get samples before a bulk order?
Yes. Add the IDTS-3511 to your quote list and ask for samples. Testing on your own assets and reader is the best way to confirm range and tag position before rollout.
