Overview
A 12 mm anti-metal UHF RFID tag you can screw down
Adhesive is the weak point on small tags: oil, solvents and constant handling lift it. The IDTS-D12 avoids that with two 2 mm through-holes, 8.5 mm apart, in a 12 mm round PCB disc. The disc is 4 mm at its highest point, has a central recess, and is built to be fixed directly on metal.
How far it reads
The listed range is approximately 2 m on metal. That is enough to read a tool on a shadow board or a fitting on a panel without touching it, but on the short side for doorway or portal reads. If you need more distance and have a 20 mm flat area, the IDTS-D20 is listed at about 3.5 m. Actual range depends on your reader, its power and the asset.
