Overview
A round BLE beacon (IP68) for tracking, navigation and proximity
The ID-BLE-T03 is the general-purpose beacon of the range: a white Ø 48 × 17 mm ABS puck, sealed to IP68 and weighing 26 g with its battery. A single replaceable CR2477 coin cell (1000 mAh) runs it for 2.5 years at 0 dBm and a 500 ms interval at 25 °C. Over BLE 4.2 / 5.0 it broadcasts its UUID, Major, Minor, battery level, name and MAC address, reaching up to 100 m in open sight at 4 dBm.
Reading the T03: phones and gateways
Any phone app that understands iBeacon or Eddystone can detect the T03, which is the basis for proximity messages, attendance check-in and indoor navigation. For asset tracking, ID-BGW-02 BLE gateways scan the beacons and report to your server over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G, using signal strength (RSSI) to place each tagged item in a zone. AOA positioning is not supported on the T03.
Mounting and firmware options
- T03: round, fixed with 3M adhesive to clean, dry metal, glass, ceramic or hard-plastic surfaces.
- T03-E: eared version for screw fixing.
Firmware is connectable by default, so interval, power and identifiers can be changed and firmware updated over the air from the Identium beacon configuration app on Android. A non-connectable, broadcast-only firmware is available where settings must not be changed in the field.
The 3M tape bonds best when applied between 21 °C and 38 °C. In cold areas, warm the surface first and press firmly for 2–3 seconds, several times.
T03 or B22?
The ID-BLE-B22 is the same size on the same CR2477 cell but adds AOA support. Choose the T03 for RSSI tracking, proximity and navigation where AOA is not needed, or compare other sizes in BLE beacons and asset tags.

Frequently asked questions
Can a smartphone detect the ID-BLE-T03?
Yes. It broadcasts standard iBeacon or Eddystone frames, which phone apps can read. For tracking many tagged assets, ID-BGW-02 gateways collect the broadcasts and forward them to a server.
Can the battery be replaced?
Yes. It takes a CR2477 3 V coin cell (1000 mAh), rated for 2.5 years at 0 dBm / 500 ms at 25 °C. Ambient temperature, battery self-discharge and the interval and power you set all affect actual life.
What is the difference between connectable and non-connectable firmware?
Connectable firmware (the default) lets you change parameters and update firmware over the air with the Identium beacon configuration app. Non-connectable firmware only broadcasts, so its settings cannot be changed in the field.
How do I mount it?
The standard T03 sticks on with 3M adhesive to clean, dry surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminium, glass, ceramics, ABS, PC or hard PVC. The T03-E has ears for screw installation.
Does it support AOA positioning?
No. If you need sub-metre AOA positioning, the ID-BLE-B22 has the same size and battery and works with ID-AOA-GW25 anchors.
