Industrial BLE Beacon ID-BLE-L02 (ER14250, IP68)

An industrial BLE beacon for zone tracking and check-in points

The ID-BLE-L02 is the long-life workhorse of the industrial range: a Ø 54 × 25 mm IP68 beacon built around a 2400 mAh ER14250 lithium-thionyl chloride cell, rated 3 years at 0 dBm / 500 ms. It operates from -40 °C to +85 °C, and the ABS housing comes in white or black, so the tag can match the equipment, wall or post it is fixed to.

Where the L02 fits

The L02 supports the iBeacon and Eddystone formats, with up to 100 m range in open space. It is used in two ways:

• Zone tracking: ID-BGW-02 BLE gateways pick up each tag and pass it to your server over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G, where signal strength (RSSI) shows which area an asset is in.
• Fixed markers: mounted on a wall or pillar, it becomes a point that a phone app detects, for patrol check-in, indoor navigation or car-search in a parking structure.

Versions

• L02: base model, no ears.
• L02-E: mounting ears for screwing to walls, posts or machine frames.
• L02-A: accelerometer fitted, so the gateway data can show when an asset is moved.

When to choose the L01 instead

The L02 does not support Bluetooth AOA. If you expect to need sub-metre positioning or a temperature + humidity sensor, choose the ID-BLE-L01, which has the same Ø 54 × 25 mm size and ER14250 cell.
