Overview

A 60 × 30 mm on-metal RFID tag for broad, flat surfaces

The IDTS-6030 is a plate-format hard tag: 60 × 30 mm, 4 mm at its highest point, in white PCB with rounded corners. Its 30 mm width suits a broad flat face such as a cabinet door, a UPS chassis, a vessel frame or a cylinder cage, where it can lie fully flat without hanging over an edge.

Screw or rivet it in place

Fix the plate through the 4 mm holes at each end, which are 54 mm apart; a central hole is also provided. Because it is fastened rather than glued, the tag stays in the same spot for the life of the asset, which keeps repeat audits consistent from one year to the next.

Performance on metal

As an anti-metal design it is meant to sit directly on steel or aluminium, and it reads at approx. 6 m on metal. That is enough to sweep a row of cabinets or racking with a handheld instead of touching each item. The U8 chip on ISO 18000-6C gives a 128-bit EPC for your asset number and a 96-bit factory TID. The −20 °C to +150 °C rating covers air-conditioned server rooms, open yards and hot process areas.

Frequently asked questions

How far does the IDTS-6030 read on metal?
About 6 m on a metal surface. The distance in your plant depends on the reader, antenna, transmit power and how much surrounding metal and RF noise is present, so test a sample on your own asset first.
How is it fixed to equipment?
Through two 4 mm holes at the left and right ends, 54 mm apart, using screws or rivets. A central hole is also present. The rigid plate sits flat on racks, panels and machine housings.
Which readers and frequency does it work with?
It is ISO 18000-6C, so standard passive UHF handheld and fixed readers read it. In India it works in the licence-exempt 865–868 MHz band, the same range used under ETSI in Europe, the UK and the Gulf, so tagged assets stay readable if exported.
Should I choose this plate or a narrower bar tag?
Choose the 60 × 30 mm plate when the mounting face is broad and flat, such as a cabinet door or chassis side. Where the face is narrow, such as a rack rail or machine rib, a 15–20 mm wide bar tag will fit better.
