Overview
A screw-mount anti-metal RFID tag for narrow parts
The IDTS-1504 is a 15 mm stick only 4 mm wide, with a raised black dome over the chip that brings it to 3.5 mm. A through-hole at each end lets you screw it down, and that is the main reason to choose it. On a spanner, a die block or a narrow bracket that is dropped, washed and handled every shift, a screwed tag stays put where an adhesive one can eventually lift.
Close-range reads at the issue counter
Quoted read distance is approx. 1 m on metal. That suits issue and return at a tool-crib window, where each item passes a reader at arm's length, and handheld checks along a tool board. If you need a screwed fixing with more reach, the 13 × 7 mm IDTS-1307 reads approx. 2.5 m but needs a face about 7 mm wide.
Before you drill
The hole diameter is not specified for this model, so measure a sample before drilling and tapping a batch of tools. The U8 chip's 128-bit EPC takes your asset number, and the 96-bit TID is a fixed factory serial. Any ISO 18000-6C UHF handheld reader will read it.
