The IDTS-D05 is a fingertip-sized on-metal UHF RFID tag from IDentium, built for the assets that are too small to carry a normal label. It measures just 5 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick - a black domed round disc on a dark PCB base with metal contact pads around the rim - yet it is an anti-metal design, so it keeps working when it is fixed directly to a steel or aluminium surface. Where a conventional tag would detune against metal or simply not fit, the IDTS-D05 gives small tools, gauges and fittings a permanent, machine-readable identity.
