Wireless UWB Positioning Anchor ID-UWB-B50 (Battery, No Cabling, IP67)

What the ID-UWB-B50 does

The ID-UWB-B50 is a fixed reference point for UWB positioning that you can install without an electrician. It runs on a long-life primary battery, so there is no power cable, and it needs no network cable either: the 4G terminal on the vehicle measures its distance to the nearby anchors and uploads the result. In unobstructed space the system resolves positions to about 0.3 m, and each anchor communicates over more than 100 m in the open.

Wired or wiring-free

Identium's UWB range works in two layouts. In a wired layout, ID-UWB-P30 or ID-UWB-R40 anchors are connected by Ethernet (PoE) or their own 4G link and pass every range measurement to the positioning server, so the tags only need UWB. In a wiring-free layout, ID-UWB-B50 battery anchors are fixed in place with no cable at all, and a 4G terminal such as the ID-UWB-V10 measures its distance to them and uploads the result itself.

How many anchors

• Presence in a room or bay: one anchor tells you a vehicle is there.
• Along an aisle, corridor or tunnel: two anchors give the position along its length.
• X/Y position on an open floor: at least three anchors in view of the tag.

Installation notes

• Keep each anchor at least 1 m from glass or metal walls, and over 20 cm off the wall when using a bracket.
• Keep the antenna vertical and clear; avoid fluorescent lamps, AC vents, liquid tanks and spots people block.
• Outdoors, mount on a pole at least 2 m high with weather and lightning protection.
• Record each anchor's ID and X/Y/Z position after installation, and do not move it without updating the map.
