What the ID-UWB-M18 does
The ID-UWB-M18 is a UWB tag for things rather than people. Its strong magnet holds it on any steel surface, so it goes on a pallet truck, die, cage or trolley in seconds, with a screw hole for parts that are not steel. Through Identium's wired anchors it is placed to under 30 cm in unobstructed space, and a press from the platform makes it beep so the item can be found among others.
Battery and updates
The 1800 mAh battery gives over 3 months per charge at a 1 Hz update rate and recharges over USB Type-C. The rate can be raised to 10 Hz for moving equipment, and the tag sleeps when it is still.
M18 or V10 on a vehicle?
For forklifts and trucks that leave the building, or sites with no cabled anchors, choose the ID-UWB-V10 terminal: it runs from the vehicle, adds satellite positioning outdoors and uploads over 4G. The M18 suits equipment that stays indoors under ID-UWB-P30 or ID-UWB-R40 anchors.
