The ID-30X15 is a high-performance UHF RFID inlay measuring 30mm × 15mm, engineered for on-metal asset tracking applications. Built on the UHF chip platform, it delivers reliable read ranges of up to 6 m in demanding real-world environments.
Key Features:
- Compact 30mm × 15mm form factor
- UHF chip — optimised for long-range performance and fast inventory cycles
- Frequency: 860–960 MHz (global UHF RFID standard)
- Read range: up to 6 metres (depending on antenna and environment)
- Flexible, thin substrate suitable for flat and curved surface application
- RoHS-compliant materials; suitable for high-volume industrial deployment
The ID-30X15 is compatible with all standard UHF RFID readers and printers. Ideal for warehouse logistics, retail, manufacturing, and field asset management where high-throughput scanning and durability matter.
About the 30x15 Flexible & Printable UHF On-metal Label
At 30 mm × 15 mm the ID-30X15 is the smallest label in Identium's flexible printable on-metal family, and it exists for the small steel and aluminium items a moulded anti-metal block simply cannot sit on: hand tools, valve bodies, instrument housings, laptop lids, network switches and rack uprights. The substrate is thin and bendable, so the label follows a tight curve instead of tenting over it, and the top face still takes print. One label therefore carries the asset number and barcode your auditors read by eye plus the UHF data a reader collects at up to 6 m, which lets it replace the paper asset sticker rather than join it.

Mounting, encoding and reading notes
Oil and machining coolant are the usual reason a small label lifts, so degrease the spot and let it dry before anything is applied. Lay the 30 mm length down first and press outwards from the centre so no air is trapped under the curve. Print the human-readable code and write the data in one pass on a standard UHF RFID label printer, then read-test each piece before it leaves the print station. Keep the label off weld beads and sharp edges, and aim the reader antenna at the printed face.
Why buy from Identium
Identium builds RFID in New Delhi, so a compact format like this can be quoted, sampled and produced without an import cycle sitting in the middle. Labels ship tuned to the Indian 865-868 MHz allocation, which also matches the ETSI 865-868 MHz band used across Europe, the UK, the GCC and Africa. Custom artwork, serialised numbering and pre-encoded data are available on any roll size, and samples go out before you standardise. Frequently asked questions
Does this 30x15mm UHF RFID label work on metal surfaces?
Yes, the ID-30X15 UHF RFID label is engineered for on-metal asset tracking, unlike standard paper labels which do not read reliably when applied to metal. Its flexible, thin substrate suits both flat and curved metal surfaces such as tools, panels, racks and equipment housings.
What is the read range of the ID-30X15 on-metal RFID label?
The ID-30X15 UHF RFID label delivers a read range of up to 6 metres in real-world environments. Actual distance varies with the reader, antenna type, orientation and the surrounding metal, so a site trial is recommended before large warehouse or manufacturing deployments in India.
Is this UHF RFID label legal to use in India?
Yes. The ID-30X15 operates in the 860 to 960 MHz global UHF band, which includes India's WPC-approved 865 to 868 MHz allocation that is licence-free within notified power limits. It is compatible with all standard UHF RFID readers and printers used across Indian installations.
Can I get these on-metal RFID labels printed and in bulk quantity?
Yes, the ID-30X15 is a printable UHF on-metal label and can be supplied with custom printing and pre-encoding. India RFID Store is a BIS and WPC certified Indian manufacturer offering bulk and OEM pricing, samples and pan-India shipping. Check the listed price or request a bulk quote for your volume.
