Overview

The general-purpose printable RFID label

At 100 × 50 mm the label has room for a barcode, a line of text and a logo, and it fits the side of a case, the edge of a shelf, a storage bin or an office asset. The UHF inlay inside gives each one an EPC that a handheld reader counts in bulk during a stock-take, or a fixed reader records at a doorway. Supplied blank on a roll, it is printed and encoded on a 4-inch RFID printer such as the iX4R with a wax-resin ribbon; for the IT4RL, we confirm the label width before quoting.

Choosing between the two roll sizes

Use this 100 × 50 mm roll where the label goes on cases, shelves and assets, and the 100 × 150 mm shipping roll where it doubles as the shipping label on a carton or pallet. Both carry an inlay chosen for the size and your reading distance, with the chip confirmed at order. Paper labels do not read on metal; for racking, tools and machines choose an on-metal label. Smaller UHF labels and inlays already listed with prices are under UHF labels and inlays.

Ordering

Minimum order 500 pcs, supplied as full rolls. Request a quote with the printer model, the surface the labels go on and the quantity. Pre-printed artwork, serial numbers and other sizes are quoted on request.

Frequently asked questions

Will a 100 × 50 mm label read through a stack of cases?
Reading through a stack depends on the contents, the inlay and the reader, not on the label size alone. Cases of liquids or metal shield the labels behind them. Describe the goods and the read point with your enquiry and we quote an inlay suited to it; test with samples before committing to a layout.
Can the label be printed with our logo in colour?
A thermal-transfer printer prints in one colour, normally black. For a colour logo, the labels can be pre-printed with your artwork and left blank where the printer adds the variable text and barcode; ask for pre-printed rolls in your enquiry.
What is the minimum order?
500 pcs, the consumables rule for labels. Labels per roll are confirmed in the quotation.
