Overview

Irys IRYS-U9-6626 is a 66.5 × 26 mm UHF RFID jewellery label with an NXP UCODE 9 chip. It costs ₹8 + GST per label, comes on rolls of 2,500, and the minimum order is 5,000 pcs.

How the Irys label works on jewellery

Gold and silver detune a UHF antenna pressed flat against them, so a jewellery label hangs from the piece rather than sticking to it. On Irys the chip and its antenna head sit at the top of the label and a long tail antenna runs down it. The label has adhesive at both ends, 30 mm at the top and 20 mm at the bottom, with a 16.5 mm band between them that carries no adhesive. Pass that band round the ring shank, chain or bangle and close the adhesive ends, keeping the antenna clear of the metal and unfolded.

Print the item details on the same label

The white PET face takes thermal-transfer printing, so the item code, gross and net weight, purity and price go on the label that also carries the EPC number. Print and encode them together on a UHF RFID printer such as the IT4RL desktop printer, and the paper tag is no longer needed.

Counting trays and vault stock

Each label's 96-bit EPC links the piece to its record in your jewellery software. A UHF handheld passed over a tray reads every tagged piece at once, and anything missing shows up against the expected list. Read range depends on the reader and the piece, so try samples on your own stock first. For a full showroom plan, see our jewellery RFID inventory guide, compare the ID-6826-U9 68 × 26 mm label, or browse all RFID jewellery tags.

Frequently asked questions

How do I attach the Irys label to a ring or chain?
Pass the 16.5 mm non-adhesive band round the ring shank, chain or bangle and stick the adhesive ends together, so the label hangs from the piece. Keep the antenna off the metal and don't fold it across the tail.
Can I print and encode the labels in one pass?
Yes. The white face takes thermal-transfer printing, and a UHF RFID printer writes the 96-bit EPC while it prints the item code, weight and price.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is 5,000 pcs (two rolls of 2,500). For a trial first, use request RFID samples.
What temperatures can the label take?
Apply it at 10–40 °C. Once applied it is rated from −20 to +50 °C at 20–80 % relative humidity. Keep the rolls dry, sealed and out of direct sunlight.
