What the ID-UBRS100 Bluetooth UHF scanner does
The ID-UBRS100 is a handheld UHF RFID scanner with no cable. It pairs over Bluetooth with an Android or iOS phone or tablet, reads EPC Gen2 tags within about 1 m and passes each read to the handset. Staff carry the scanner and the phone they already own, with nothing tying them to a laptop.
Two ways to get the data out
Virtual keyboard
Tap into any field, whether a spreadsheet, a web form or your billing app, and each tag's EPC is typed in. No development is needed, which makes it the quickest way to run a pilot.
Custom app
Your own app receives the reads directly and can log them in real time with time and location, or batch them offline and sync later.
Working within a 1 m range
A range of up to 1 m makes this a shelf-by-shelf and bin-by-bin tool. Hold it close to the face of the shelf and move steadily along it, rather than trying to sweep a whole aisle from the middle. Steel racking and liquids shorten UHF range, so keep the antenna face off metal shelving while reading. Charge the battery over USB between shifts.
