This rectangular MQT-chip tag slips into a milled slot on a cutting insert holder, along the shank of a precision instrument or inside a jewellery finding, and still returns a UHF read of up to 20 cm from metal. It is a close-quarters tag rather than a portal tag, made for Indian toolrooms, dental and surgical trays, and precision manufacturing where nothing bigger will fit.
