Wearable UHF RFID Watch Reader IDTS-UWR6 (Bluetooth 5.1, IP65)

A UHF RFID reader worn on the wrist like a watch. It reads EPC Gen2 tags at 0–50 cm as you handle items and sends them over Bluetooth 5.1 to an Android phone or handheld — hands-free reading for picking, packing and stock checks.

Overview

A UHF RFID reader you wear on the wrist

The IDTS-UWR6 puts a UHF RFID reader in a watch-style housing. As the wearer picks up a carton, garment or tote, the reader picks up the tag on it at 0–50 cm and sends the EPC to a paired Android phone or handheld over Bluetooth 5.1 — no gun to hold, no trigger to pull, and both hands stay free for the actual work.

It reads ISO 18000-6C (EPC Gen2) tags, the same standard used by the UHF labels and tags in our catalogue, and can batch-read more than 200 tags per second at peak when several tagged items come into range together.

Where it fits

  • Warehouse picking and packing: confirm each item as it is picked, without putting it down to scan.
  • Parcel sorting and dispatch: record cartons as they are lifted onto a pallet or into a vehicle.
  • Retail and library handling: log garments or books as staff handle them during counts and returns.

The short 0–50 cm range is deliberate: the reader sees the item in the wearer's hand, not every tag on the nearby shelf. For whole-aisle stock counts at several metres, use a UHF handheld reader or scanner gun instead.

Battery, build and connection

A 1250 mAh lithium-polymer battery gives more than 8 hours of continuous work and up to 120 hours of standby, and recharges in under 3 hours. The ABS + PC housing is rated IP65, with a silicone strap for all-day wear. Three LEDs show work, Bluetooth and power status.

For use in India, order the 865–868 MHz version — the licence-exempt UHF band here. The 902–928 MHz version is for the US. Tell us the band you need when you ask for a quote.

Software

The reader supports secondary development, so it can feed tag reads into your own Android app or warehouse system. Pair it with UHF RFID labels on cartons, garments or totes.

Typical applications

  • Warehouse picking
  • Parcel sorting
  • Stock counting
  • Retail stock checks
  • Library book handling
  • Asset audits

Frequently asked questions

How far does the watch reader read?
0–50 cm, depending on the tag and the environment. The short range is intended: it reads the item in the wearer's hand rather than every tag on nearby shelves.
Which frequency should I order for India?
The 865–868 MHz version, which matches India's licence-exempt UHF band. A 902–928 MHz version is made for the US market.
What does it connect to?
Android smart devices over Bluetooth 5.1 (BLE), and USB. It supports secondary development, so tag reads can go into your own app or system.
How long does the battery last?
The 1250 mAh battery gives more than 8 hours of continuous work and up to 120 hours of standby, and charges in under 3 hours.
Is it waterproof?
It is rated IP65 — protected against dust and water jets — so it handles warehouse and outdoor handling work, but it is not meant to be submerged.
