Overview
IDTS-MFL5530 is a 55 × 30 mm UHF RFID flag label (flag tag) with a UCODE 9 chip, for test tubes, vials and other small medical items. It costs ₹8 + GST per label, the minimum order is 1,000 pcs, and once applied it is rated from −20 to +50 °C.
What an RFID flag label does on a tube or vial
A flat UHF label wrapped round a tube or vial puts its whole antenna against the container. On this label only the lower 24 mm is adhesive, and that tail wraps the tube. The upper 31 mm, which carries the chip and the antenna's meander, is not stuck down and stands off the container like a flag; the rest of the antenna lies in the adhesive tail. Each tube carries its own writable EPC number for RFID sample tracking.
How to apply it
Apply the labels at 10–40 °C to a clean, dry tube, wrap the adhesive tail round the container and leave the flag free. Keep the rolls dry, and don't bend, crush or fold the chip area. Adhesion varies by surface, so try samples on your own tubes first.
Temperature limits
Once applied, the label is rated from −20 to +50 °C at 20–80 % relative humidity. It is not rated below −20 °C, so it is not for −80 °C freezers or liquid nitrogen, or for any process that heats it above 50 °C.
For a flat label that wraps round a tube, see the 15 × 40 mm test tube tag; for a flag label with an M800 or M700 chip, see the ID-2040-M800, or browse all specialty RFID labels.
