T5577 Rewritable 125 kHz RFID Card (CR80, PVC)

A CR80 PVC card on the T5577 chip: a 125 kHz card whose ID and modulation can be written and rewritten with a compatible writer, so one blank stock serves readers that expect the EM4100 ID format and other 125 kHz formats. Printable in full colour.

Overview

What a T5577 card is

Most 125 kHz cards carry a fixed, factory-set ID. The T5577 is a 125 kHz chip whose contents can be written and rewritten with a compatible writer: the ID, and the way it is sent (ASK, FSK or PSK, and the bit rate). Programmed to the EM4100 format, it is read by the same readers as our plain 125 kHz cards and LF tokens; programmed differently, it serves readers that expect another 125 kHz format. One blank stock therefore covers several installed systems.

Writing and using it

A 125 kHz writer sets the ID and configuration; our IDTS-DFE8 reader-writer lists T5577 writing among its functions, and desktop writers are quoted on request. Once written, the card behaves like any 125 kHz card at the door or the attendance terminal, with a read range of a few centimetres, typical for the class. The configuration can be password-locked so a card is not rewritten by accident. The card printing and reader compatibility guide explains how to match a card format to an installed reader before printing a batch.

Ordering

Cards follow the consumables rule: minimum order 500 pcs. They are supplied blank white or printed with your artwork, name and photo like our printed ID cards. Request a quote with the format your readers expect and the quantity; other 125 kHz cards are listed with prices.

Frequently asked questions

Is a T5577 card the same as an EM4100 card?
No. An EM4100-type chip has a fixed ID set at the factory; the T5577 can be written to send an ID in the EM4100 format, so a reader cannot tell them apart, and it can later be rewritten. If your readers only ever need a fixed ID, the plain 125 kHz card is cheaper.
Which writer do I need?
Any 125 kHz writer that supports the T5577, such as our IDTS-DFE8 reader-writer, which lists T5577 writing. Give us the format your system uses (EM4100 is the common one) and we can pre-program the batch before printing.
What is the minimum order?
500 pcs, the consumables rule for cards. Printed cards are made to order and confirmed with an artwork proof.
