Overview
Tamper-evident UHF RFID jewellery label, 66 × 12 mm
When stock does not match at a jewellery counter, one of the first questions is whether a tag was moved from one piece to another. The ID-66X12-G2IM is a tamper-evident UHF RFID label, so an attempt to peel it off and re-stick it shows. Its 66 × 12 mm strip suits the narrow tickets used on chains, bracelets and bangles, and the G2iM+ chip reads up to 7 m depending on antenna and environment, so a full tray can be counted with a handheld in one pass.
Applying the label
- Wrap it round the ticket tail or clasp end so the ends meet, keeping the antenna straight rather than kinked at the fold.
- Position it right first time: a tamper-evident label is not meant to be lifted and reapplied.
- Leave a small gap between the label and broad metal such as a kada, because UHF labels detune when pressed flat against metal.
- Sweep each finished tray with a handheld before it goes into the showcase.
Encoding and records
Write the EPC with your item code on an RFID printer or desktop encoder, and keep weight, purity and SKU against that EPC in your jewellery software. For counting whole trays at once, pair the labels with an RFID smart tray, and see the jewellery inventory and anti-theft guide for a full showroom setup.
Typical applications
- Showroom tray counts
- Consignment stock
- Franchise stock audits
- Gold-loan collateral
- Lab-to-counter transfers
- Silverware and giftware
