RFID 1850 Qstar Tag
RFID 1850 Qstar Tag

The ID-1850 is a high-performance UHF RFID inlay engineered for inventory management, asset tracking, and supply chain visibility applications. Built on the Qstar chip platform, it delivers reliable read ranges of up to 7 m in demanding real-world environments.

Key Features:

  • Compact form factor
  • Qstar chip — optimised for long-range performance and fast inventory cycles
  • Frequency: 860–960 MHz (global UHF RFID standard)
  • Read range: up to 7 metres (depending on antenna and environment)
  • Flexible, thin substrate suitable for flat and curved surface application
  • RoHS-compliant materials; suitable for high-volume industrial deployment

The ID-1850 is compatible with all standard UHF RFID readers and printers. Ideal for warehouse logistics, retail, manufacturing, and field asset management where high-throughput scanning and durability matter.

About the RFID 1850 Qstar Tag

The RFID 1850 Qstar Tag (model ID-1850) is the member of Identium's Qstar family we point buyers towards for cartons, bins and thicker packaging in retail back rooms and logistics yards. The Qstar chip and this antenna reach up to 7 m depending on antenna and environment, which is enough for fixed readers at dock doors and conveyor points as well as handheld counting. It is available as an inlay for converters and as a finished Qstar RFID label; antenna dimensions are listed on the datasheet. The tag runs across the 860–960 MHz global UHF range with the 865-868 MHz India allocation at its centre and satisfies ETSI 865-868 MHz sites in Europe and the Gulf.

Best-fit applications

  • Retail back rooms counting racked cartons of packaged FMCG with a handheld
  • Logistics parks running dock-door portals to confirm outbound shipments
  • Auto-parts distributors tagging bins on conveyor lines for automated picking
  • Book and stationery wholesalers tagging bundles for dealer dispatch
  • Tyre and lubricant distributors tagging cartons in regional depots

Mounting, encoding and reading notes

Put the label on the largest flat face of the carton or bin, clear of strapping and tape. Test with a full, loaded pallet rather than a single carton, because goods stacked in the middle shade the inner tags and that is where portal counts usually go wrong. Writing is done on a UHF RFID printer, or in bulk on a desktop encoder if you would rather receive rolls ready to apply. The substrate takes the gentle curve of a drum or bucket, but not direct contact with metal or liquid without a standoff.

Why buy from Identium

One tag that clears both a domestic distribution network and an export consignment saves holding two part numbers, and that is the case this inlay is built for. Identium manufactures it in India, writes your scheme at the factory and quotes volume or OEM terms; samples for portal and handheld trials cost nothing. Frequently asked questions

Does the ID-1850 UHF RFID tag work on the Indian 865-868 MHz frequency?

Yes, the ID-1850 UHF RFID tag operates across 860-960 MHz, which includes the 865-868 MHz UHF band notified by WPC for India. That band is licence-free within the notified power limits, so the tag can be used with any compliant Indian UHF reader for inventory and asset tracking.

What is the read range of the ID-1850 Qstar RFID tag?

The ID-1850 UHF RFID tag, built on the Qstar chip platform, reads at up to 7 metres in real-world conditions. Range varies with the reader antenna, transmit power, tag orientation and the material under the tag. It suits fast inventory cycles in warehouse logistics and retail across India.

How much does the ID-1850 RFID tag cost in India?

The price of the ID-1850 UHF RFID tag in India varies with order quantity, encoding and artwork requirements, so refer to the price listed on this page. For roll volumes, request a bulk quote from India RFID Store. Buying from an Indian manufacturer keeps lead times short for pan-India delivery.

Can the ID-1850 tag be used on metal or liquid-filled items?

No, the ID-1850 is a standard label-type UHF RFID tag and is not reliable when applied directly to metal or to containers holding liquid. Metal assets require a dedicated on-metal UHF tag. For cartons, plastic bins and other non-metallic goods in India, the ID-1850 works as intended.
