Cartons that pass through several hubs before reaching a customer need a label that reads at every one of them, and the RFID E41B Tag (model ID-RFIDE41BTAG) is built for that run. This RFID E41B tag is an EPC Gen2 UHF RFID wet inlay supplied for retail, logistics and inventory tagging, from the supplier's packing bench through the 3PL warehouse to a retail chain's receiving dock. The flexible, thin substrate wraps onto corrugated cartons, shrink-wrapped bundles and curved containers, materials are RoHS-compliant, and the inlay is compatible with all standard UHF RFID readers and printers. Read ranges of up to 6 m suit dock-door portals and forklift-mounted readers as well as handhelds.

Mounting, encoding and reading notes

For cartons that travel through portals, apply the E41B on two adjacent faces, or on the face that will present to the antenna, and keep it away from corners where forks and strapping rub. Do not place it over liquid contents or on the metallised side of a foil-lined carton; use the dry outer face. Encode a serialised EPC, SSCC for logistic units or SGTIN for retail cases, on the same printer that produces the shipping label. Set portal reader power for your actual carton density and test against a fully loaded pallet before go-live.
