The RFID 1540 Qstar Tag (model ID-1540) is a compact UHF RFID inlay built on the Qstar chip and made by Identium in India. It is intended for flat and gently curved non-metallic surfaces where a small footprint matters: apparel hang tags, folded cartons, plastic bins and document folders. Supplied as an inlay for converters or as a finished label, it delivers read ranges of up to 7 m depending on the reader antenna and environment, which is enough for handheld stock counts and fixed-reader gates alike. The antenna works across the 860–960 MHz global UHF range and is centred on the 865-868 MHz India allocation, so ETSI 865-868 MHz readers in Europe, the UK and the Gulf see the same tag unchanged.
