Overview

The IDTS-EWP25 is a reusable water park RFID wristband: a stretch woven elastic band, 25 mm wide in 180 or 190 mm lengths, carrying a 13.56 MHz HF chip (ISO 14443A) with 1 KB of memory, for entry, cashless payment and access control. Minimum order 500 pcs (price on request).

How a water park RFID wristband works on the day

A guest gets the band at the ticket counter and wears it until leaving. Your park software links the chip's UID, or data you encode, to that visit, so a tap at the gate, a ride or a food counter identifies the guest. The wallet and ticketing live in that software; the band carries the ID.

Read distance is 1–10 cm, depending on the reader, so guests hold the band close to a reader rather than being read as they walk past. The band is waterproof and weatherproof, and it is reusable: bands collected at the exit can be issued again, or kept by season-pass holders.

Printing, numbering and encoding

The band takes your custom logo print, and each one can carry its chip UID and a serial number, laser-printed, so the counter can find a guest's record from the number if a band will not read. We encode the chips to your numbering scheme on order; for in-house issuing, pair the bands with an HF RFID reader that supports ISO 14443A.

This band or the E01?

Pick the IDTS-EWP25 when your gates and counters run on 13.56 MHz. For an LF or UHF chip, or a shorter band, see the E01 elastic RFID wristband; for hotel and resort pools, see RFID for hotels and resorts.

Frequently asked questions

Can guests keep this woven band on in the pools and on the slides?
Yes. It is waterproof and weatherproof and is made for water park use, so guests can keep it on in the pools and on the rides, then hand it back for reuse.
What read distance should I plan for at gates and counters?
1–10 cm, depending on the reader. Guests hold the wrist to the reader, so place readers where a tap is natural: turnstiles, ride entries and food counters. A band is not picked up from a distance.
Which chip is inside, and will it work with our readers?
The band uses a 13.56 MHz HF chip on ISO 14443A with 1 KB of memory, for HF readers that support ISO 14443A. Share the reader or park software you use; the exact chip type is confirmed in your quotation.
Can staff check a band with a mobile phone?
An Android phone with NFC and a reader app, such as our free Identium NFC app, can usually read the band's UID for a quick check at a counter. Whether a phone can also read or write the 1 KB memory depends on the chip type, which is confirmed in your quotation.
Can the bands come printed and encoded, and what is the minimum order?
Yes. We print your logo, laser-print each band's chip UID and serial number, and encode the chips with your data. The minimum order is 500 pcs (price on request); tell us how many of each length, 180 or 190 mm, you need.
