Overview
The IDTS-EWB25 is an elastic woven NFC wristband with a bamboo wood tag: 25 mm wide, in 180, 185, 190 or 195 mm lengths, with a 13.56 MHz ISO 14443A chip and 1 KB, 2 KB or 4 KB of memory (price on request, minimum order 500 pcs). Your logo can be engraved on the wood, and the band is reusable.
Where a wooden NFC wristband fits
A wood tag on a woven strap looks more like a bracelet than a plastic pass, which suits hotel stays, brand events and digital business cards. Typical uses:
- Hotel room keys: guests open door locks that read this band's chip type, once the hotel's lock system encodes it, in place of a key card; see RFID for hotels and resorts.
- Digital business card: with a phone-readable chip, a tap on an NFC phone opens the profile link written to the chip.
- Access control and events: one band for entry and staff areas, and as the guest ID in the venue's own cashless payment system, which runs separately from the band.
Choosing length, memory and branding
All four lengths are 25 mm wide, and other sizes can be made to order. A room key or a single link needs little memory; pick 2 KB or 4 KB only if your system keeps more data on the band. Every chip also has a fixed UID that your software can use as the guest or member ID.
The strap takes thermal-transfer or silk-screen printing and the wood takes an engraved logo. If your readers run on LF, ISO 15693 or UHF, the same band is made with those chips or with two chips. For a plain woven band with no wood tag, compare the E01 elastic RFID wristband.

Can guests use the IDTS-EWB25 as a hotel room key?
Yes, hotel room keys are one of its main uses. It works with locks that read the same 13.56 MHz ISO 14443A chip type once your lock system encodes it, so send your lock model, or the chip your current key cards carry, with the enquiry. The chip and memory size (1, 2 or 4 KB) are confirmed in the quotation, and LF or UHF versions can be made for locks on those frequencies.
Will an NFC phone read it as a digital business card?
Yes, if the chip suits phones. Write a link to your profile, website or vCard page to the chip, and an NFC phone opens it on a tap. Phones read some 13.56 MHz chip types more widely than others, so say you need phone reading when you ask for a quote. Identium's free Android NFC app can read the band and write the link.
Which length should we order?
Choose from 180, 185, 190 and 195 mm, all 25 mm wide. The band is elastic, so try sample bands on a few staff of different builds before fixing the length mix for a large order. Other sizes can be made to order.
Can it be worn in the shower or pool?
The band is waterproof, weatherproof and reusable. As the tag is wood and the strap is fabric, wear samples through a normal stay or event, showers and pool included, before you order in volume. For bands worn in water all day, also compare our silicone RFID wristbands.
What do we send to order printed and encoded bands?
Send the artwork for the engraved wood tag and for the strap print (thermal transfer or silk-screen), the lengths and quantities, the memory size, and what each chip should carry: a URL, a number or nothing beyond its UID (encoding is confirmed in the quotation). We quote each order (price on request; minimum order 500 pcs).
