Overview

The IDTS-AWB35 is an adjustable NFC silicone wristband with a metal pin-buckle strap, 245 × 35 × 5 mm, carrying a MIFARE Classic 1K or NTAG213 chip on 13.56 MHz HF (ISO/IEC 14443A). It reads at 1–10 cm, depending on the reader. Bands are quoted to your chip, print and quantity (price on request), with a minimum order of 500 pcs.

The pin buckle lets staff set the strap to each guest's wrist at entry and undo it at the exit without cutting it. The silicone is waterproof and weatherproof, so guests can wear the band in the pool and on rides. For a membership scheme, the band replaces the member card. MIFARE Classic 1K or NTAG213: which chip to order

  • MIFARE Classic 1K: for access-control readers and cashless counters already set up for MIFARE Classic cards.
  • NTAG213: read by NFC phones and able to hold a web link, such as a member page or park map.

Frequently asked questions

Will one band fit different wrist sizes?
Yes. The 245 mm strap closes with a metal pin buckle, so staff can set it to the wearer's wrist when the band is issued. If many of your wearers are young children, request a sample to check the fit before the bulk order.
Can guests or staff read the band with a phone?
Order the NTAG213 version for that. NFC-enabled iPhones and Android phones read NTAG213 (iPhone 7 to X need an NFC app), and it can hold a web link that opens when the band is tapped. NTAG213 bands can also be read and written with an NFC phone app, such as Identium's free Android NFC app. Not every phone reads MIFARE Classic 1K, so choose that chip when the band will be read by dedicated readers.
Which readers work with it, and at what distance?
Any 13.56 MHz ISO/IEC 14443A reader that supports the chip you order. The band reads at 1–10 cm, depending on the reader, so it is a tap at the gate or counter rather than a hands-free read. To encode or check bands at a desk, use an HF RFID reader.
Will the metal buckle and the print hold up in pool water?
The band is silicone and is waterproof and weatherproof; the buckle is metal. Pool water, chemicals and sun differ from site to site, so request samples and wear-test the buckle, strap and print in your own pools before the bulk order.
Can you print our logo and encode the bands before supply?
Yes. The options are a custom logo, a printed UID and serial number, a printed QR code and encoding of the chip to your scheme. Send your artwork, chip choice and numbering plan with the quote request. The minimum order is 500 pcs.
