Where the 12 × 8.5 mm NFC sticker fits
The ID-NFC-213-12 is a rectangular NFC sticker only 12 × 8.5 mm in size, for places where a standard NFC label will not fit: a cosmetics lid, the flap of a small carton, a seal across a box opening, a pen barrel or the corner of a printed business card. It carries an NTAG213 chip (NFC Forum Type 2, ISO 14443A), so NFC-enabled smartphones read it without any app.
What 144 bytes can hold
NTAG213 offers 144 bytes of NDEF memory: enough for one web link, a line of text or a basic vCard. For packaging and brand protection, the most practical record is a short URL to a page you control, so the destination can change later without touching the tag. The sticker is read/write, so it can be reprogrammed with a phone or a desktop NFC reader and then locked once the content is final.
Placement tips for a small antenna
- Apply it to clean, dry paper, plastic, glass or wood and press the whole label down.
- Keep it off bare metal, which detunes NFC antennas and blocks the read.
- A tag this small needs the phone held directly over it, so print a small tap icon on the spot.
- For authentication, record each tag's unique chip ID against a serial number in your system rather than giving every tag the same link.
