IF9A RFID Reader – Made in India by Identium
RFID UHF Integrated Reader with LED.

Types of integrated UHF RFID readers

Access and attendance

Compact 3 dBi readers that read UHF cards and tags at 1–3 m and connect to a door controller over Wiegand 26/34 or RS485: ID-IUR-3DBI, the compact ID-IUR-3DBI-V2 and the black ID-IUR-3DBI-BK. The ID-UCR-RD901M reads at 0–1 m for doors and turnstiles.

Gates, parking and dock doors

The IF9A (Impinj E710, 9 dBi) in a die-cast aluminium case, also as the IF9A-2P with a port for one external antenna, and in Wi-Fi and 4G versions. For parking lanes and outdoor gates, the IF-12 has a 12 dBi antenna in a waterproof IP65 housing.

Ceiling and overhead

The CP310 reports tag phase as well as ID, so software can sense movement and direction, not just presence. The ID-EA500 combines a 12 dBi antenna array with a Linux edge computer and sends zone, direction and dwell events over one PoE cable.

Counter and desk

Smart trays use a short-range antenna to count the tagged items placed on them: the CX110T (260 × 260 mm), the CX111T (338 × 248 mm) and a battery-powered Bluetooth smart tray for jewellery counters. The RFID AI Inventory Box adds a QR scanner and receipt printer.

Integrated reader or separate reader and antennas?

An integrated reader is one box with no RF cable to route, so it is quick to fit at a single gate, door or counter. If one reader must cover several dock doors, or a wide portal from more than one angle, a 4-port UHF reader with separate RFID antennas gives more freedom. The IF9A-2P sits between the two: a built-in antenna plus one external port. Typical prices of integrated, fixed and gate readers are compared in RFID reader price in India.

What to order alongside

The IF9A is one of the reader models in Identium's BIS registration and holds WPC Equipment Type Approval. See the WPC ETA and BIS checklist and how to choose a reader by range, ports and IP rating.

Frequently asked questions

What is an integrated RFID reader?
A reader with the antenna built into the same housing, so there is no separate antenna or RF cable to install. You mount one unit and connect power and data, which suits a single gate, door, counter or ceiling point.
How far does an integrated UHF reader read?
Mostly it depends on antenna gain and the tag. The 3 dBi access readers list 1–3 m, the ID-UCR-RD901M 0–1 m, the 12 dBi IF-12 0–20 m and the IF9A up to 25 m effective. Expect less with small tags, cards held in the hand, or tags near metal and liquids.
Can these readers connect to an access controller or boom barrier?
The 3 dBi readers, the ID-UCR-RD901M and the IF-12 have Wiegand 26/34 output for access controllers. The IF9A lists Wiegand and an optional relay output, and the CP310 has three relay outputs. Confirm the controller or barrier wiring with your installer.
Which models work without a network cable?
The IF9A-Wifi sends tag reads over Wi-Fi by HTTP POST, and the IF9A-4G pushes reads to your cloud server through a micro SIM. The Bluetooth smart tray runs on its built-in battery and sends the list to a phone or tablet.
Are these readers BIS-registered?
The IF9A is one of the reader models in Identium's BIS registration and also holds WPC ETA. For any other model in this category, ask for its compliance documents before ordering for a tender or government site.
