Overview
A portable Bluetooth thermal receipt printer for billing on the move
The CX58B is a mini receipt printer that runs on its own battery, so bills and receipts can be printed wherever the sale or delivery happens: at the customer's door, at a stall, or at a counter with no room for a full POS setup. It pairs with a device over Bluetooth 4.0, or connects to a computer over USB.
This is a receipt printer, not an RFID printer. It prints on thermal paper rolls and does not encode RFID tags. To print and encode UHF RFID labels, see the IT4RL desktop RFID printer.
How thermal line printing works
A thermal print head heats tiny dots across the width of heat-sensitive paper as it feeds through. There is no ink cartridge, toner or ribbon to buy or replace; the only consumable is the paper roll. At 203 DPI (8 dots per mm) and 70 mm per second, a short bill prints in a couple of seconds.
Where it is used
- Delivery and collection staff: print a receipt at handover or when collecting cash.
- Field sales teams: issue an order copy or bill during a customer visit.
- Small shops and stalls: billing at a counter, exhibition stall or weekly market without a desktop POS printer.
- Reception desks: token and queue slips where a full printer would take too much space.
Before you order
The built-in 1500 mAh, 7.4 V lithium battery means the printer does not need a mains socket while working. How many receipts you get per charge depends on receipt length and how often you print, so teams printing all day should plan a charging routine.
Printing from a phone or tablet depends on your billing app: check that the app can send prints to a Bluetooth receipt printer, and trial one unit before equipping a whole team. For label and RFID printing, browse the full printers range.
