Pick the RKT RFID keyfob chip that matches your reader
A keyfob only works if its chip matches the reader on the door, turnstile or attendance terminal. The RKT comes in three versions in the same body:
LF 125 kHz (EM4100)
For basic proximity door readers and attendance machines. Read range 2–10 cm.
HF 13.56 MHz (MIFARE Classic 1K)
For MIFARE-based access control and attendance systems, with sector memory that can hold more than an ID number. Read range up to 10 cm.
UHF (EPC Gen2)
For hands-free entry and vehicle gates where the fob is read from a distance. Read range 1–5 m.
Built for a keyring
The oval 46 × 30 × 6 mm ABS body is IP67 rated and works from −25 °C to +70 °C, so it copes with pockets, gym bags and car keys. A 4 mm hole takes a split ring, lanyard clip or zipper pull.
Branding and numbering
Fobs can be engraved with a logo or colour printed, in black, white, blue, red, yellow or green. They can also be encoded with sequential serial numbers, which makes bulk enrolment in access or attendance software quicker.
