Frequently asked questions
What temperature can the Steelcode ceramic RFID tag withstand?
The Steelcode ceramic UHF RFID tag withstands ambient temperatures from -30 to +300 degrees C, which suits heat treatment lines, paint shops, foundries and other high temperature processes in India. It has a ceramic body with a PA6+GF surface and measures 13 x 38 x 7.7 mm.
Does the Steelcode tag read on metal?
Yes, the Steelcode is an on-metal UHF RFID tag and reads up to 6.5 metres when mounted on a metal surface, where standard paper label tags would not read at all. It uses the Impinj R6-P chip, weighs 7.4 g and is manufactured in India by Identium.
How is the Steelcode high temperature tag mounted?
The Steelcode ceramic tag can be bonded with high performance epoxy resin or riveted through its 3.4 mm rivet hole, so it stays attached through handling, washing and heat cycles. It is supplied in black by default and is well suited to tools, jigs, fixtures and moulds.
Can I get a sample of the Steelcode ceramic tag before ordering?
Yes, samples of the Steelcode ceramic high temperature RFID tag are in stock for testing. India RFID Store is a BIS and WPC certified Indian manufacturer offering samples, bulk and OEM pricing, custom encoding and pan-India shipping, so you can validate read performance on your own assets first.
