Overview
A mini RFID cabinet lock for tight spaces
Many small lockers, cabinets and drawers have no room for a long lock body on the door. The ID-CL-EM115 fits a card-operated lock into 40 × 33.2 × 30 mm, so it can go on small doors and drawer fronts where a conventional locker lock would overhang.
Users tap a 125 kHz ID card, a 13.56 MHz IC card or a compatible RFID wristband on the lock face to lock or open it. There is no key to hand out and no code to forget, which makes it practical for lockers that change users every day.
Fitting checklist
- Space behind the door: check the depth available inside the cabinet as well as the size of the lock face, so the body clears shelves and stored items.
- Latch position: confirm where the latch must engage on the frame before drilling.
- Battery access: the lock runs on DC 6V batteries. Plan how staff will reach each lock for battery changes in a full locker bank.
- Material and finish: choose zinc alloy or brass, in silver or golden, when you order, to match the existing hardware.
Choosing cards and wristbands
Locker credentials come in two common frequencies: 125 kHz (LF, often called ID or EM cards) and 13.56 MHz (HF, called IC or MIFARE-type cards). Before ordering, find out which one your existing staff or member cards use, so the locks and credentials match. In saunas and pool areas, a wristband is usually easier than a card because it stays on the wrist. Browse RFID wristbands, or read the RFID frequency guide to understand the difference.
Ordering for a locker bank
Count the doors, note which frequency your existing cards or wristbands use, and pick the body material and finish. Versions carrying your logo are available on bulk orders. If your doors have room for a larger lock body or you want keypad access, compare the other models in RFID locks.
