Overview
What the T55C-TT smart padlock does
The ID-SPL-T55CTT is a smart padlock you can open four ways: from a phone with the TTLock app over Bluetooth, with a numeric password on the lock, with a 13.56 MHz M1 RFID card, or with a physical key. Having all four helps when a phone battery is flat, staff change shifts, or a contractor needs access for just one day.
Managing access in the TTLock app
You set up and manage the padlock in TTLock, which is available for iOS and Android. From the app the owner can:
- send an eKey to a staff member, tenant or contractor instead of cutting extra keys;
- check the access log to see who opened the lock;
- unlock it from the phone over Bluetooth Low Energy, or remotely. Remote opening on TTLock Bluetooth locks generally needs a TTLock gateway within Bluetooth range of the lock, so plan for one if you need it.
Password, card and key
The keypad supports anti-peep entry: you can type random digits before and after the real code, so anyone watching cannot learn it. The card reader takes 13.56 MHz M1 cards, the HF type used by many office and housing-society access systems. 125 kHz LF cards will not open it. You can order matching 13.56 MHz HF cards with the padlock. The mechanical key, with a Grade B cylinder, is the last resort if the electronics cannot be used.
Built for outdoor gates and stores
The body combines aluminium alloy and stainless steel and is waterproof. It is made for gates, fences, shutters and damp locations where rain and humidity seize ordinary padlocks. It runs on one CR2 battery, and a USB emergency port provides a fallback if the battery runs down.
