ID-7020 anti-liquid UHF RFID label for liquid containers in the supply chain

Water-based contents absorb UHF energy, so an ordinary paper inlay often stops reading once it is stuck on a filled container. The ID-7020 is a 65 × 15 mm anti-liquid UHF RFID label on the Impinj Monza R6-P chip, made for tagging on or near liquid-filled containers in warehouses and distribution. It reads at up to 7 m depending on the reader, antenna and environment; expect less when the tag sits directly against the liquid.

Where it is used

• Plastic drums, jerry cans and carboys in chemical and lubricant stores
• Cases and crates of bottled products at receiving and dispatch
• Returnable liquid containers tracked through fill-and-return cycles

Placement and testing

The flexible strip follows curved surfaces such as drum sides and bottle shoulders. Apply it flat and free of wrinkles, ideally above the liquid line where there is headspace, and run trials with full containers, not empty ones.
