Overview
Where the ID-1642-H10 eco UHF RFID paper tag fits
The ID-1642-H10 is a 42 × 16 mm UHF RFID tag on a paper base, built around the Impinj H10 chip. Its narrow strip goes where a standard shipping label will not fit: the end panel of a small carton, the spine of a file folder or the back of an apparel ticket. It responds across 860–960 MHz, which includes India's 865–868 MHz band, and reads at up to 7 m depending on the reader, antenna and surroundings.
Typical jobs for a small paper tag
- Warehouse picking and dispatch: one tag per inner box or small carton, read with a handheld during picking or by a fixed reader at the dock door.
- File and record rooms: a tag on each file spine lets staff find and audit files without pulling them off the rack. See our guide to RFID file tracking in government offices.
- Retail and apparel tickets: fits small price tickets and labels where there is little room for a wider inlay.
Getting reliable reads
Paper tags work best on dry, non-metallic surfaces such as cardboard, paper, plastic film and fabric. Apply the tag flat rather than folded across a carton edge, and store rolls away from damp. On metal parts or liquid-filled products the antenna detunes, so pick an on-metal or anti-liquid design from our UHF RFID inlays and labels range instead.
Typical applications
- Small carton tracking
- File and record tracking
- Apparel tickets
- Warehouse picking
- Retail item tagging
