What the UCR10 Type-C UHF reader does
The UCR10 is a plug-in UHF RFID reader for phones and tablets. It goes into the USB Type-C port the way a charging cable would, takes its power from the device and turns the phone into a UHF scanner with a range of up to 1.5 m. There is no Bluetooth pairing and no second battery to keep charged.

What to plan for
The reader draws on the phone's battery, and the Type-C port is in use while scanning. For long, continuous counts, a Bluetooth reader with its own battery may suit better.
Phones and apps
The UCR10 works with Android 7.0 or later and with USB-C iPhones running iOS 17 or later. Android phones generally need USB host (OTG) support to run plug-in accessories, which most current phones and tablets have. An Android SDK is available so your developers can add RFID reading to an existing stock or asset app; for an iPhone rollout, confirm the app route with us when you ask for a quote.
