An 8 dBi UHF RFID antenna for FCC-band export projects

UHF RFID runs on different frequencies in different regions. India and Europe sit around 865–868 MHz, while the USA, Canada and other FCC-band markets use 902–928 MHz. The ID-ANT-8CP-FCC is the 8 dBi circular polarized panel for that second group: Indian system integrators, OEMs and exporters who build or ship RFID installations for North American end customers.

What the antenna offers

A 300 × 300 × 40 mm panel with 8 dBi gain and right-hand circular polarization, so tags read whichever way they face on a carton or garment. It accepts up to 3 W input through an N-female socket, and its IP65 housing and −25 °C to +70 °C operating range cover unheated docks and cold rooms.

Typical FCC-band deployments

• Dock doors and receiving bays in distribution centres, with a panel on each side of the opening.
• Retail stockrooms and back-of-store portals for apparel chains counting tagged garments.
• Conveyor read points for cartons and totes moving through a facility.

Matching the system to the destination

1. Confirm the destination band. The reader region setting and the antennas must both match 902–928 MHz.
2. Check the tags. Most UHF tags are designed for the global 860–960 MHz range, but confirm it on each tag datasheet.
3. Ask for paperwork early. Tell us the destination country and the documents your end customer needs when you request a quote.
