Does this UHF metal mount tag work on metal surfaces?
Yes. The IDTS-UMMGT is a UHF metal mount tag with excellent read performance on metal, unlike standard label tags which fail when stuck to a metal surface. It is used across India for pallet identification, asset management, waste management, metal bin tagging, gate mounting and corrugated cases.
How is the metal mount tag fixed to a bin or gate?
The UHF metal mount tag can be supplied with detachable magnets, so it mounts on metal bins, gates and racks and can be moved later without adhesive or drilling. A high quality PC version is available where the tag must resist high temperatures, and the antenna design gives a high read range.
Which chip and memory does the UMMGT tag use?
The UMMGT metal mount tag uses an Alien Higgs 3 chip conforming to EPC Class 1 Gen 2, with EPC memory up to 480 bits and 512 bits of user memory. Data retention is 50 years with 100,000 write cycles, and the chip can be customised on request for specific applications.
Is this on-metal UHF tag suitable for India's 865 MHz band?
