Overview
A magnetic UHF metal mount tag you can move
The UMMGT is a long bar-shaped UHF tag, 177 × 25 × 12 mm, in an industrial polycarbonate housing designed to read well when fixed to metal. Its detachable magnets let you put it on a steel bin, a gate post or a rack upright with no drilling or adhesive, and take it off again when the asset is retired or the layout changes. It weighs 101.3 g with the magnet and about 36 g without.
Where a magnet-mount tag makes sense
- Metal bins and skips: waste and scrap containers that are emptied and handled roughly.
- Gates and fixed points: location markers on gate frames and other fixed points.
- Pallets and racks: steel assets where a tag may need to move between items.

Read range and options
The tag reads up to 15 m, with the actual distance set by the reader’s power, the antenna and the surroundings. A fixed reader with an external antenna from our UHF RFID readers range gets the most from it. If the tag will sit near heat, ask for the high-temperature polycarbonate version. Housings come in black, red or blue, which helps colour-code bins or zones, and the Higgs 3 chip can be swapped on request.

Yes. It is a metal mount tag designed for good read performance on metal surfaces, unlike standard label tags that stop working when stuck to steel.

What read range can I expect?

Yes. It is a wideband EPC Class 1 Gen 2 tag covering 865–868 MHz, as well as the 902–928 MHz and 950–956 MHz bands used in other regions.
