What the IDTS-LFPPR LF USB desktop reader does
The IDTS-LFPPR reads 125 kHz low-frequency proximity cards and key fobs, the type still issued by many offices, hotels and housing societies for doors and attendance. Plug it into a USB port and it is ready: there is no software or driver to install. Hold a card within 5–8 cm and the LED shows its status.
Getting card numbers into your software
Plug-and-play readers that need no driver are typically used to capture the card number directly into whichever field is active on screen, whether that is an attendance package, a hotel front-desk system or a spreadsheet. The reader measures 10 × 6 × 1 cm and weighs 75 g, so it sits flat beside a keyboard. It draws DC 5 V from the USB port and is rated to operate from -40 °C to +60 °C at up to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing), with storage from -45 °C to +85 °C. It is CE and FCC compliant.
