RFID IP Reader IDTS-HRW560 with Wi-Fi and PoE (HF or LF)

What the HRW560 RFID IP reader does

Most desk readers need a PC beside them. The IDTS-HRW560 does not: it joins your network over Wi-Fi or a TCP/IP connection and reports each card it reads to a server or cloud application. That suits any point where a card tap must be logged centrally but there is no computer, such as an attendance point at a factory gate, a time clock on the shop floor or the reception of a branch office.

Power and installation

The reader runs on an external 9 V supply or on PoE. With PoE, a single Ethernet cable from a PoE switch carries both data and power, which keeps wiring tidy when readers are spread across a building. Where pulling a network cable is difficult, the Wi-Fi link removes it altogether and only the 9 V supply has to reach the reader.

The 150 × 87 × 30 mm housing is IP40 rated and works from -20 °C to +60 °C, so mount it indoors or under cover rather than on an exposed gate post.

HF or LF: match the version to your cards

The HRW560 is supplied either for 13.56 MHz HF cards or for 125 kHz LF proximity cards. Each unit reads one band, so check what your staff already carry before ordering:

• 13.56 MHz (HF): smart cards such as MIFARE-type cards, common in newer ID and access systems.
• 125 kHz (LF): proximity cards and key fobs used by many older attendance and door systems.

Cards are read at 0–8 cm, a deliberate tap distance so that people waiting in line are not logged by accident. A buzzer and LED confirm each read, and the display can be set from software.

Integrating with your system

Free demo software lets you test reads over the network before any development, and an SDK is provided for the read/write model.
