Overview
Silk printable UHF RFID tag for printed, encoded labels
The Silk6050 combines a UHF RFID inlay with a white matte silk face that accepts thermal transfer or direct thermal printing. A brand logo, item number, barcode or QR code is printed on the face while the printer encodes the EPC, so what people see and what the reader sees always match.
Printing and encoding
- Load the roll. Tags come on rolls for standard 4-inch RFID label printers such as the iX4R industrial RFID printer, Zebra ZT400 and ZD620, Honeywell PX940 or SATO CL4NX.
- Print and encode. Send the visible data and the EPC in one job; 96–128 bits of EPC are available.
- Apply. Use the permanent acrylic adhesive as standard, or the removable version on reusable items.
Choosing size and chip
Standard sizes are 100 × 40 mm, 60 × 40 mm and 50 × 25 mm, and custom sizes can be made. Pick the chip (Impinj Monza R6, Alien Higgs 3 or NXP UCODE 8) to match the readers and encoding scheme you already use. Read range is 3–8 m depending on reader and antenna. No wash-cycle rating is listed for the Silk6050, so for linen that goes through daily industrial washing, pick a wash-rated tag from our laundry tag range.
