Overview
RFID laundry button tag: a hard tag for textiles
The button tag is a small, rigid disc that is fixed to a garment or textile once and then stays with it for life. Its hard body takes the knocks of tumble dryers, steam presses and dry cleaning, and it is rated for more than 200 industrial wash cycles at 60–95 °C. Diameters run from 18 to 25 mm, so it can sit discreetly at a hem, cuff or corner.
UHF or HF: pick by how you read
UHF (865–868 MHz)
EPC Gen2, reads at 1–3 m. Count a trolley, bag or shelf of linen in one pass with a handheld or fixed reader.
HF (13.56 MHz)
ISO 15693, reads up to 10 cm. Suits places where items are checked one at a time, such as a uniform issue counter.

Fixing options
Sew the tag on like an ordinary button, rivet it through heavier fabric, or use a snap fixing where stitching through the item is not wanted. Each tag carries a unique chip ID, so a garment keeps one identity through every wash, repair and reissue. Textile and silicone formats are listed under laundry tags.
