What the JT3515 RFID jewellery hard tag is built for

Small, valuable items such as rings, bangles, watches and spectacle frames need a tag that stays discreet on display, survives daily handling and can be used again once the piece sells. The JT3515 is a 35 × 15 mm hard PVC/ABS tag weighing about 2.5 g. It is fixed through its 2 mm eyelet with string, a zip tie or a tamper-evident loop, so nothing is stuck to the item.

Chip and memory

Inside is an NXP UCODE 9xe chip with 128-bit EPC memory, a 96-bit TID carrying a 48-bit unique serial, and -24 dBm read sensitivity. The serial gives every tag a factory identity separate from the EPC you write. The tag works across 860–960 MHz, which covers India’s 865–868 MHz band as well as other regional UHF bands.

Durability in the showroom

The body is IP68 rated and resists jewellery cleaning solutions and alcohol, so tagged stock can be cleaned without taking the tag off. It is rated for -40 °C to +85 °C, 100,000 write cycles and 20 years of data retention, which suits re-encoding for each new item.

Branding and readers
