Overview

Why gyms and spas use a watch-type RFID wristband

The C10 is worn like a watch, so members carry their credential onto the gym floor, into the pool area and through the sauna instead of leaving a card in a bag. A band on the wrist is harder to forget, lend or bend than a card, and members do not need a pocket to carry it.

LF, HF or UHF: matching your hardware

The C10 comes in three chip versions. LF (125 kHz) and HF (13.56 MHz) bands read at 0–5 cm, the right behaviour for turnstiles, door readers, locker locks and payment counters where a deliberate tap is wanted. The UHF version reads at up to 7 m on India's 865–868 MHz band, for logging members as they walk through an entrance.

If one band must work on both a tap reader and a UHF gate, say so when you request a quote so the chip configuration can be confirmed, or compare the dual-frequency HF + UHF silicone wristband.

Branding and numbering

Bands can be supplied in your colours with a logo, text, QR code, barcode or serial number, marked by embossing, debossing or laser numbering. A visible number helps the desk trace a band left in a changing room. For locker planning, see our gym locker lock guide or browse all silicone RFID wristbands.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a watch-type RFID wristband and an RFID card?
A watch-type band such as the C10 stays on the wrist, so it is not left behind or passed around as easily as a card, and it can be worn in pools and saunas. That is why it is used for gym and spa membership, access control, payments and hospital identification.
What is the read range of the C10?
The LF (125 kHz) and HF (13.56 MHz) versions read at 0–5 cm, so the wearer taps the band on the reader. The UHF version reads at up to 7 m on India's 865–868 MHz band. Actual range also depends on the reader and antenna.
Is the C10 a dual-frequency wristband?
The C10 is listed in LF, HF and UHF chip versions, each with its own read range. If your site needs one band for both a tap reader and a UHF gate, mention this in your quote request so the chip configuration can be confirmed.
Can I order C10 wristbands with custom colours and numbering?
Yes. The C10 can be customised with colour, logo, text, QR code, barcode and serial number, applied by printing, embossing, debossing or laser numbering. Share your artwork and quantity when you request a quote.
